We just saw 2 sparrowhawks,circling above here.They dived down into neighbours garden 2 doors down (probably after rabbits),but suddenly all the birds went a deathly silence !!!!.Not a peep.I think they were all holding their breath lol
It has been a lovely afternoon here Mandy,

Its been sunny here Jane at times but with the wind it was a bit to cool to sit out .

Sister came last night and she was telling me about a friend who she works with ,was showing her some wedding pictures of her son getting married ,they had the wedding at some Manor in Oxfordshire ,they had SEVEN Courses,and what i thought was nice was that the Bride and Groom had no top table , they sat at one table for the first course ,the next table for the second and so on ,that way they got to talk to all their guests !!
Her friend said the food was wonderful, at the end each person finished up with a cheese board each !!!

Another thing i saw the other day was a Weasel and a Squirrel in the middle of the road ,i don't know if they were fighting or playing ,but the Weasel shot across in front of my car into the hedge and the poor little Squirrel went under the wheels of a car coming the other way.

Ooh Squish!.I see lots of squirrels here that have been run over.They always seem to end up on their back with their little legs in the air lol
Well I think I well may go to bed in James bed tonight .He is still away,and Chris has already gone to bed !!!!!!!!!!.Not good really as he will no doubt be awake really early.I have washed all James bedding so I will have a fresh bed lol.I just need to work out how to use his TV if I can find the controls !!
Just thinking back to my childhood.No TV ,no Radio,no nothing like that in the bedroom.Just the Famous Five.or Secret 7,......or when even younger,my Janet and John books from school lol.

I watch Judge Judy have done for ages only because it is the time I sit and relax a bit and eat my tea. Her name is
Judy Sheinalin and sees been married twice and shes got 5 children she received a Emmy award for her show and the guy who helps in it she saved .He was on death row but she re opened his case and he was proved not guilty he always opens her court and assists her a coloured fellow.
I think she calls him Bert. I read her book my daughter being a solicitor had it and so I took it to bed to read very interesting book. I did miss my fish and chips yesterday
but we had a chinese take away later.my ho is still not well.

Evening all
Have had a really busy weekend thats why I have have not been on for a chat.
Late Friday night OH gets a phone call from his brother who's just got back from his holidays with his family in spain they arrived back on Tuesday night. they had wanted to come up and visit us on Friday and stay till sunday but unfortunatly one of their suitcases didn't come home to manchester with them it was sent instead to Birmingham. so they had to stay at home till the suitcase arrived.
Anyway he was asking if they could come and just stay over night . so they came up yesterday afternoon and I had a full house , then we all went out for dinner to an Italian resturant , we had a lovely meal and a great chat as we havent seen them since Christmas.

We woke up this morning to a lovely day and had breakfast outside and then went to visit daughter no 1, SIL and Sofia. then this afternoon we had a barbque and BIL & family left about 7.00pm everybody else left about 7.30 that just left me &OH to clear up and put away the tables etc.
So I am pretty shattered but have a a great time with all the family together.

It's done it again. All set to put a post on and this bl..dy computer switched itself off. So if you don't hear from me for a while it's because I will be sorting myself out with a new one.

One of the very last jobs I would take would be waitressing. When in Dorset having a very nice meal, we ordered more drinks, the waitress came up with them and my poor daughter got her orange juice slopping around in her dinner. I really felt for the waitress and of course daughters meal was deducted from the bill but it can so easily happen.

Looks like I might be getting the little kitten. Oh dear, now I'm starting to panic. What if my two give him a hard time...... what if it's got lots of medical problems..... what if three cats is just greedy ..... what if. .... what if....

Talking of squirrels Jane, my eldest daughter was telling me about a squirrel she found, years ago, put it in her daughter's pram and rushed it to the vets. The vet said, well it's dead, she said it can't be, he gave it an injection and said it is now !!!!!

Not your computer playing up too,!!! thats you ,me, and Sheila's all messing about this week. my OH hasn't made up his mind if we are getting a new one or not we haven't had the time to look in the shops yet, just been to busy.

Hi Jane not someone else moving in another room my husband is really poorly his tongue looks yuk and he is aching all over . My sandwiches were one marmalade and
one peanut butter Jane .Not horrible at all only thing was I dropped one in the bed could not find it got in and lay on it
The telly did not work and I played my sons stereo which blasted out some Queen tune that woke the house I could not turn it off having been set by my son and had to unplug it to three very angry faces. Have I done something to you lot do not seem to get any replies for ages not even a hello .Asked three things nobody answered me .I used to love the Famous Five. I was reading Lady Windermiers
Fan what a raunchy book that was bought from the charity
shop for 4pence should have left it there was a bit boring in parts. All in the spare bedroom back in my own tonight flu or or not. This computor is fab but my sons and then I have to find one to buy cheap.

I'm off to bed soon, before this computer goes again. Will be taking little kitty to the vets tomorrow for his all clear. Silly me, why did I say to d-i-l, I think whoever has him should pay you back for the antibiotics and the check up he has to have !!!!!

It's Donkey Day today and I am not looking forward to it as I wanted to do some more work in the tunnel. I had a bit of a clearout yesterday of the old chard but do you think I could find a wheelbarrow. I have two, an old one with a hole in the bottom and a new big plastic one that OH has pond weed in at the moment. Then there is mums one which is the same as mine without a hole in the bottom. These ones go up the paths in the tunnel and are light enough for me to get over the step. OH has a HUGE one that I can't manage at all really and that has something in it too. So thats four barrows in all and all being used by OH!!!!!!! Anyway he cleared one out for me but by that time it was dinner prep and cooking time so I just left it up the garden by the tunnel.

Just come on while my floors are drying ,had to give them a good old mop this morning .
Nasty old day here ,started off dry then it started to drizzle ,just as i was going to hang my washing out !! and its windy too!!

Sounds as if some of you are going to have an expensive time ,having to buy new Computers ,they say things go in three's and that's three of you all needing new ones !!!

It is cloudy here but dry and quite windy.I think it may brighten up.
Sheila,no you haven't done anything.lol.I think sometimes we have so many posts all in a flurry some things get missed.

Mel, excuse my ignorance, but what is 'Donkey Day'?

I have just been having a chuckle about something I've just read. Does anyone fancy their feet being nibbled by fish !!!!!! Well, if you want to get rid of dry skin on your feet, there is apparently a therapy to alleviate you of the problem lol You stick your feet in a fish tank and the fish nibble it away lol
This therapy has been in existence in places like Turkey for a long time. Wonder if it will catch on here? Lol

Jane the Restauraunt is called the Spice of Bruerne. opposite the BOAT. No offer of a meal or cleaning of cloths. It's such a nice place, seems silly they don't consider the customers more £80.00 for 4 people (NOT CHEAP) and it was packed upstairs and down. I will have words with them next time I go. (If ever)

I planted up my sacks with Potatoes. yesterday, ALSO CUT MY LAWNS Ros decided to do a bit of tidying up round the borders yesterday afternoon, put loads in the green bin, next door but one asked if he could use any spare room in the bin as he had loads of green rubbish.
which he did. I went for a shower about 6.30pm and put my dressing gown on, half hour later, ROS says I'vs lost a ring.
So, there we are with the whole bin, emptied on the driveway checking everything, grass cuttings and all cardboard and neighbours rubbish. NOT THERE. I then set off looking where she had been, (Still in dressing gown) clearing the boarders. another half hour I FOUND IT
It was one of her Mothers/grandmothers that was worth a few bob !!!! I've told her that she must remove all rings excluding Wedding ring, before she does any gardening.

Catiel, I have seen the fish nibbling on TV suppose to be quite good. Don't try it in your POND MEL, they might pull you in LOL

Next door neighbour has had a new fence on the otherside of his garden. About 7 foot tall, He has had a concreate base put behind his garage for a greenhouse. The only trouble is the garage will block out the morning sun, the fence will block of the afternoon sun, and a very large bush will block out the evening sun. I think he didn't think it throught. Plus the shuttering is still round the base. When I asked if he was taking it up he said "NO I like it. I will paint it green" Strange or what.

Ros is at the hospital with a friend who has a Cancer scare. She just phoned to say thay have taken sample and it's all clear. Thats a weight of her mind.

I remember, we didn't have radios around the house. Only the main one in the back room.
My brother made a crystal set. with the "CATS WHISKER" we woyuld lay under the covers with a tourch and tune into some very weird stations, mostly foreign but sometimes the "LIGHT Programme. or the HOME service.

weather strange today doesn't know what to do first it was foggy and damp then it was warm but cloudy, then out comes the sun , now the sun's gone in and its all gone cloudy again as long as we don't get rain as I have more washing out again.

I've not got a lot on today ,just going to potter around the house till I have to go to the clinic in the afternoon.
Sorry to read your back is in pain sheila, have you pulled a muscle or something, not sure what the burning or stinging might be.

As to the skin eating Fish Yes I would love that.The others know ,but about a month or so ago my daughter was in Look Magazine .It was an article on extreme spas.Her friend who was the journalist had the fish treatment.She said it was ticklish to begin with but she got used to that and then opened up her toes for the fish to get in between lol.My Daughter did the cold and heat treatment.The cold part was in an snow/ice room.
