Hayley, my sister has a pacemaker because her heart was too slow, but i dont see any difference in her at all. Hope your mum has more gumption! Give her lots of affection and let her do a few things at her own pace or she will become dependant. If she wants to peel the spuds, what does it matter how long it takes her.

Sorry to hear that your Mum's had such a rough time recently, but great that she is now on the mend.
You did well to be so calm in a difficult situation.
Take care of yourself now, while she's being looked after in hospital, then you'll be fit to make all those cuppas for her, when she's in your care.

Hayley,
you have been through the mill this last week haven't you? I too knew something was up by the postings on FB but as I hadn't seen anything on here, I thought that you would tell us eventually when you felt upto it.
now listen here missus you take care of yourself as well otherwise you will be of no use to your Mum when she comes home. I'm glad to hear that they have now sorted her out and that things are improving and that she will soon be allowed home.

Take care and lots of hugs to you both.

Hayley Lass, have just seen this. Glad your mum is home and on the mend, and continues to make progress.
Don't forget, look after yourself and yours, so you can keep your strength up for your mum.
I bet that diamond ring will have a stone in as big as the Rock of Gibralter.
Good Luck Babes, and take the best of care. Will be thinking of you all. As Bobby Ball used to say ' I'm flippin' wellin' up ere'. Please keep us ALL posted.

Silly Sausage Report 8 Oct 2009 17:30

We brought Mum home at teatime yesterday, and I must say after about hour of being home I wondered if we had done the right thing. She is still very sore on one side and very unsteady on her feet and we forget that we live in houses so have stairs. Mum later told us she had told a pack of lies to the doctors to help her escape her words not mine.

After getting her stuck in the bath and having to call very franticly for help, she had a restful night at my sisters and even managed to get up alone and unaided in the night much to my sisters disgust.

This morning, she was walking a lot better and has been dressed, when asked this afternoon if she wanted to go for a sleep in my bed she said “ can I put my head on your display pillows?” me NO! Well I shall stay here with you so everyone can see how ill I am, she is laying on the settee with the poorly blanket. If she calls me matron one more time I shall scream…lol….Thank you everyone for your best wishes and PM’s xxxx
