Hi all, from the bottom of my heart can l say a big thankyou for all your good wishes for my husband and myself, all the messages on here, PM'S and facebook are so nice to receive when your feeling so down.My OH is a little better today but feeling really sore in the groin area where they done the keyhole surgery ( he had a blood clot in the heart which they dispersed and put a couple of stets (sp) in to open the artery) OH is such a active person it has really hit him hard this, even thought he would go back to work next week, sorry no 6-8 weeks if everything goes well, these cigarettes have a lot to answer to but he said he will give it his best shot to give up now, fingers crossed. Well just got in from the hospital and got washing to do and am feeling drained, didn't sleep to well last night so am going to rest now, once again a big thankyou to you all and Keith thanks for this thread and Ice your a star so needed that talk last night, l owe you one.x

mummo,
sorry to hear that hubby has been taken poorly, How old is he and did he have problems before? The reason I ask is that my Dad had a heart attack 25 years ago last month, They had to restart his heart twice, it was a good job he was at the hospital when it happened (he was taking Mum for admission and hadn't been ill at all) otherwise we would of lost him.
He was 82 last October and is in fine health still, he's out every night during the summer playing bowls.
Take care of yourself as well as hubby, because you will probably be worrying about him and may neglect your own health and we don't want you being poorly as well.

love
Helen

Good to hear that he is recovering. I believe that one of the after effects of heart attacks is depression. I suppose it is the fear that it will happen again. He will be able to be active again I am sure, soon be walking along the prom!! I have a friend who had a stent fitted and it worked very well.
Look after yourself, try not to worry too much, you will need your strength for when he comes out of hospital!!!
And good luck to him with giving up the smoking.

Didn't know if l should write this or not, but probably better in than out !!!!!!!!!
I am not coping to well at the moment, not sleeping, eating and just can't seem to stop crying, l feel sick 24/7 and keep trying to work out why l'm like this..............l know my OH is on the mend and if he does as he's told should be able to get back to near normal but not doing quite so much, is it because they told me l could have lost him or is the battle ahead l'm going to have with him re not doing so much and him trying to give up smoking, my OH really is a active man even when they brought him back from his op all he wanted to know was if he could go back to work this week and he is so disappointed as he and his workmates had a deep sea fishing trip planned for next Sunday an doctor has told him he can't go. told him there will be another one day. This heat isn't helping me it is so hot in the hospital l find it awful, now today another scorcher (sorry do hope you all enjoy it) I also am at fault as l will not let my daughter who is up north and my son who is local to me come here, l can't handle them seeing me like this and keep making excuses to them, son did come on the first day then l told him dad need peace and quite so wait till he comes home. Also this coming so soon after my mum having her bad fall and she still is quite poorly and l am meant to be having her to stay at the end of the month as my brother is going away foe a week but he has said he will cancel his holiday if necessary.Right sorry to have gone on, and yes it fills good to let it all come out, have to go and shower now as due at the hospital at 11.00am,x

I am glad that the news is better.

It is natural that you would feel overwrought and anxious, and I am glad, too, that you have felt able to post on here. We are here for you, thinking of you. Take care.
