I also read Mels thread where she see a child knocked down,If that had been me I would have been beside myself especially having a child with me,I would have been worried what effect it had on her.I certainly would not be on the computer

Sylvia words did fail me, it has taken me two hours to reply to this thread

I hope that no-one who has ever lost a child or relative in a drink drive accident has seen Mel's post - how she can use something like that on a chat thread is beyond me regardless of whether it is true or not !

Muffyxx Report 22 May 2009 22:58

Sad thing is THERE IS a member on here who lost her nephew to a drink driver.

And she's a mate of mine.

soooooo.........if she decides to blow up......I'll not stop her xx

I read that earlier - about the drunk driver this afternoon. I didn't believe it to be honest as it was almost a throw away comment. Couldn't see how it could be true.

Well I guess the whole world will jump on me for this but we've seen her post comments about illness in her family then get on nasty threads with her cronies having digs at various people so we shouldn't be surprised.

Jessie aka Maddies mate Report 22 May 2009 23:24

I would like to know if " This accident " has been posted in the press - if I child was involved it will be news for certain

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 22 May 2009 23:28

Haven't probed into her personal life enough to know where she lives etc so can't really comment with any sort of sureity whether or not anyone was a victim of a drink driver tonight.

I hope that no one was though

not as a point scoring exercise........but just out of common decency.

And if there is any truth in it.....

Then I wish the child a speedy recovery and the drink driver the purgatory they deserve xx

*~~*Posh*~~* Report 22 May 2009 23:34

What I can't understand is.....How would anyone know it was a drunk driver??
The Police are hardly going to tell you and if he/she was breathalysed at the scene, it still doesn't mean it was a drunk driver. It is normal practice to breathalyse at the scene of an accident as far as I know.
I just find it a bit strange.........

KempinaPartyhat

KempinaPartyhat Report 22 May 2009 23:38

Posh ...Thats a good point ......

Coz I thought it was down to the courts to decide ....after a second breath test at the station.....................

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 22 May 2009 23:40

I know what you mean Posh.

Last year my car was involved in an accident.

I WAS NOT in the car.......but a lorry shunted it off the road and wrote it off.

I was breathalised even though I wasn't even in it at the time

it was negative btw.......i'm lots of things but I'm not bl**dy daft.

The driver sped off and was found later.

trouble was breathaliser was useless as too much time had gone by.....but i'd put my mortgage on him being brahms at the point of impact.........

Retrospective means nothing in law though.

£300 excess on my insurance that idiot cost me

Thank god it wasn't a life though eh.?

IT's not a subject to be toyed with.

It's bl**dy serious.

xx
