Hi Pam,hope your experience of H.R.T. is better than mine, I went from a size 10/12 in October to a 14/16 in January ,stuck it out 'til April as the doc said it wasn't the medication at fault but decided I had to come off it as I couldn't afford to put on any more weight. I'm only 5ft 2. Since I stopped the weight is slowly coming back off to O.H.'s relief ,the thought of buying a whole new wardrobe had him a bit concerned .Thats when I looked for alternatives ,the magnet that sits inside your pants, I dropped it down the loo more than once, herbal treatments and the only thing that had any effect ,serenity cream.I also had a go with hypnotism c.d's .So maybe I should have persevered with the H.R.T. although friends have told me it can take up to 2 years to find the right one I am too impatient to wait that long for a result. |

I't's called magnacare I think and its supposed to stop all menopausal symptoms .It's triangular and blue and has a part that you place inside your underwear and a little magnet that attaches outside your pants to hold it in place ,sounds bizarre I know ,but my late father in law used magnet therapy for circulation problems after his knee replacement surgery and claimed it had great results ,maybe it was called ladycare I'm not sure now. Anyway after dropping it down the loo several times I decided to give up on it.My friends all thought it was hilarious ,something else I maybe should have persevered with. |

I used to suffer from migraines until I had a hysterectomy, since then, 22yrs ago, I have only had one. Lucky me! I was given soluble aspirin, a lemon flavoured one, and if I took them as soon as I felt any sign of one coming on, it usually stopped it. My OH could tell I was starting one by my eyes, which apparently took on a strange look. |

Migraines.....a small shot of brandy just as you feel it coming on,mine start with visual disturbance, the brandy helps with the blood flow to the head and ,honest, lifts the migraine within 20 minutes.I was advised to try this by a homeopath about 30 years ago and it works for me.Serenity cream can only be bought online from the channel islands.I've got a ladycare magnet going spare if anyone wants to try it,thats if the thought of it being inside my knickers doesn't put you off,,and if you can remember to remove it before using the loo! |
