Dear Patricia

Hello

I have this problem too!

Try cutting out wheat for a short time to see if this helps.

And try and drink more water and less coffee/tea.

When I bloat my clothes don't fit at other times they do.

Take care of yourself

Very best wishes
xx

Hello ladies...ANOTHER BLOATER HERE! Thanks for the tips Elizabeth, I'm not fat, I don't have a big bum or legs, I'm a bit busty...but not too big, but it's my stomach. Going to try to cut down on wheat then, and my biggest thing...spuds and bread!!

Hi all
I was having wind problems to and always felt bloated , I am not quite 5' and if I weigh any more than 81/2 stone I feel uncomfortable and can't bend over to tie my shoe laces or even get my leg into my tights, I went up from a size 10 to a 12 and decided I was going to have to something about my weight , so I stopped eating ordinary bread and biscuits went on to weight watches bread, weight watches biscuits and also wieghtwatches Ice cream & yogurts , I also have kidney problems so I now eat more fish, red meat only once a week .
I eat pro-active flora & Benecol yogurt drinks to lower the cholesterol and I am now just under 8stone and back to a size 10 and I feel much better because of it..

Hi Patrica
Sofia's doing great she had her 6 weeks check up just Tuesday gone there and the doctor said she was very active , the doctor put her on her tummy and immediately the head went up and the knee's went into the crawling position , sleep patterns varie from night to night sometimes she can sleep for 4-5 hours in between feeds through the day and at night about the same, unfortunatly my daughter had a lot of problems getting her to latch on the breast and it became such a upsetting time for mum and baby and daughter got mastitis too so she struggled for 2 weeks and then started her on the bottle ,
Sofia usually gets 4 feeds through the day. and as my daughter is expressing her milk 4 times a day, she manages to give Sofia 3 bottles of baby milk and 1 bottle of breast milk so my daughter feels that Sofia is still getting the good stuff and she was 8lbs 1oz when she was born , she is now 10lbs 3oz so it all must be working.

Hi Fiona, isn't it great seeing them become little people? Sorry your daughter had problems with the breastfeeding ,but baby will be fine on a bottle my son had a mix of breast and bottle and it hasn't done him any harm.He has taken to fatherhood like a duck to water and can often drop in with baby on his own to let Lisa have some "me time" we're very proud of how he's doing when we think he's only 21.Grandaughter no.1 is being toilet trained and that is both hilarious and frustrating with trips to the loo every 10 minutes and rounds of applause and cheers if there's a result.Roll on the last of the nappies! Mind you I need trips to the loo every 10 minutes too sometimes

Hi Patrica
I was just saying to my daughter today about all the funny, little things you will laugh and cheer about, on Tuesday we were sitting chatting to each other and Sofia was in her bouncy chair waving legs and arms wildly around as usual , hitting her self in the face with her hands all the time. anyway daughter turns round to Sofia and tickles her under the chin and says gently Oh why do you keep hitting your self" and Sofia stops looks up at her mum and gives her a real smile from ear to ear, and it wasn't wind that time , Patrica if you'd seen the look on our faces of astonishment and we both had tears in our eyes , I wish I had had my camera.

Just booked tickets to see my favourite man next May in Edinburgh,as usual I am soooo excited despite having seen him live 17 (yes that is 17) times.Of course it helps that he is also O.H.'s fav.too. He is the one ,the only Eric Bibb if you get a chance to see him jump at it,I can guarantee you'll leave with a huge smile on your face,it's almost a spiritual experience.Still hoping he makes it back to Celtic Connections in January(he had an Irish granny)If your thing is bluesy ,gospely, folky rock with a twist you'll love him too.Of course it helps that he''s gorgeous too.Hot flushes ? OH YES

Jane

Jane Report 23 Oct 2009 12:38

I have never heard of him Patricia so I will google him and see what he is all about.
I had a friend when I was a nurse and we were in rooms next to eachother in the Nurses Home, and she always had Neil Diamond blasting out.She went to all his concerts ,and I never remember her listening to anything else.

Fiona Report 23 Oct 2009 12:46

Jane I'm sure you don't have a filthy house (and knowing young people as we had 2 years of my SIL living with us before they were married,)he never noticed what the house was like from one day to the next, mind you he was much tidier than my daughter,
SIL does the hoovering and the cooking, Iron's his own shirts,
now daughter is at home with the baby , if she gets the peace she does the clothes washing and washes the dishes.
mind you I can see the difference in how their house looks since MIL has gone back to Italy, ( I did not mention it) she was a fanatic cleaner, but then again apart from helping out with Sofia, she had nothing else to do through the day to keep her occupied
I managed to do the dishes and folded clean clothes and washed cooker hob yesterday while I was babysitting as Sofia slept.
But what does it matter if their house is clean, aslong as mum and baby enjoy each other and both get their rest.

Well your Eric is quite a looker Patricia!!!!!.Nice body too lol.My OH has a hat like that but somehow it doesn't have the same effect.

Patricia Report 23 Oct 2009 13:21

Hi Jane, not bad for 58 is he.! He's also a really nice guy ,always comes into the bar after a concert and has a blether(chat, for you southerners)and sometimes a drink with the fans too all of my E.B. 18 albums have been signed by him If you think you might like his stuff try a c.d called Retrospective and then you can move on to Natural Light and your on your way.We are real music fans and love live gigs, saw 19 concerts in the first half of this last year and have a collection of 1200 c.d's and 700 vinyl albums. My O.H. and his best friend also have a sideline of making hi-fi speakers and exhibit them at shows all over the country .They get rave reviews in the mmusic press.Unfortunately in this financial climate sales are slow but we live in hope.

Hi Tracey
Your only a babe, not like us oldies lol only joking ladies!!!!
Hopefully you have a while to go till you hit the hot flushes etc Tracey,(you haven't got them already have you?) I was 47 when the change hit me(and I mean HIT me ) and I believe that's quite young to start , seemingly it can go on for years and years, Ohhhh Nooo!!!!!

Patricia

Patricia Report 23 Oct 2009 14:36

Hi Tracy, you've got lots to look forward to believe me.I didn't learn to ride a bike until I was 47 and the next year I cycled around the west of Ireland ,sometimes the worse for wear after a few pints of the black stuff,I also found we have the freedom just to get up and go when the mood takes us and Wednesdays see us heading off for the day to places where there is NO MOBILE PHONE RECEPTION .Thats the key ,try to find time for you ,if you don't look after yourself you won't be fit to look after everyone else. The symptoms can be a bit of a pain but theres always a good story and a laugh to go wiith them.
