What about his poor daughter and the children he had with her?????

A father is supposed to protect you for goodness sake..................to systematically imprison and abuse your own children for years is horrific.

Kathy you forget his lawyer says he wouldn't get a fair trial because of all the publicity..

On the news this morning, it said he might escape a jail sentence and have psychiatric treatment instead, as he is mentally ill!!!

In paper today, one of the tenants said the bloke's wife had been taking wheelbarrows of food down to the cellar, along with her husband.

The cellar was built as a bunker with a grant from the Austrian government more than 25 years ago in case of nuclear attack.

He wouldn't allow anyone to go in there, and when the tenants on the floor above suspected something was wrong with their electricity meter continually running even with everything switched off and wanted it investigated, he evicted them!

The oldest daughter of 19 had lived from birth in that awful place. She is now in hospital and thought to die soon. She has multiple organ failure. The big fat arrogant slob probably raped her too.

Did he have an accomplice when he went on holiday? Could it have been his wife Rosemarie? The truth will come out eventually!

This has to be one of the most sickening cases I have ever heard of. Words almost fail me, as was said it is like some sick, psycho horror film.


He has no right to anything except a painful death.

The austrian police say they do believe the monster's wife had no idea what was going on. Apparently he was a control freak and bully and ruled with a rod of iron. He makes me sick to the stomach! He should be hung, drawn and quartered!

He told the wife the girl had run away and joined a sect.

I cannot beleive that the Mother had no knowledge, or was she too abused and too scared / brainwashed. How did he manage to buy the extra food, how did he manage to buy clothes for them, tolietries etc.

Dirty perv, for me the videos of an old man in Thialand summed it all up, perv!!

No unfortunately Austria doesn't have the death penalty, it is part of the EU. Hanging would be too good, no punishment would make up for the suffering he and his wife have caused. There is no way she can be innocent of all this, not after all this length of time.

There is no way the mother could have not known what was happening. Would you have an area in your house that you knew nothing about? I have lived and worked in some large buildings but we all knew our way around. If it had been in a different building maybe she would not have known, but not in the same place. She deserves a life sentence as well. Do they still have a death sentence in Austria? Jean

Maximary, I totally agree with you. My husband bought that up about carrying all the tiles and fixtures n fittings down there and doing the work...he said he bets there was another man involved.

The lodger who lived just above the cellar for 13 years said he heard knocking, and saw the perv father taking 'wheelbarrows full of food' to the cellar. Yet he never raised the alarm that something untoward was happening.....doh!....

He looked a creep, tight swimming trunks ....ewwww, yuk .
Dont understand why it went on so long,without anyone knowing.
I hope he rots in hell or worse.

Havent read all the posts on here but its almost unreal, the sort of thing you'd see in a low budget film.... The weirdo delivered his daughters babies, it must have been more horrendus than words can say to have to give birth in that cellar with no real pain relief (I presume) and her rapist father delivering the babies. Then 3 of them taken from her to live in the house above. I hope she gets good counselling and care. At least because its such a high profile case she'll get the support she needs.
