To my mum,

Although I cannot hug you
I can still feel you.
Although I cannot hear you
I can still speak to you
Although I cannot see you
I still miss you.
Although you are no longer with me
I will always love you.

Miss You Mum, Goodnight.

by Dorothy Buxner.........................................

When I think about the old days,I want them back again,
Our house was always happy,And full of laughter then,
We'd all be there together, content in every way,
Then the mainstay of the family..simply went away,

We,all of us,do the best we can,but it will never be the same,
We can't tell you how often we all still speak your name,

All I wish is that once more, before I lower the light,
I could only kiss her on the cheek, and say.....
I love you Mum..... Goodnight

To my Nan on Mothers day.

I have the fondest memories
of me when i was small
Crying for a lady i wanted most of all
My Nan the one who made me feel
so precious and so loved
As if i'd arrived by special delivery
from angels up above
The one whose scent i buried
my weary head in sleep
These are the special memories
that i know i will always keep
The Nan who stood beside me
only ever seeing good
Filling my hungry tummy
with the most delicios food
Like a pillar standing strong for me
My angel in disguise
showing all she felt for me
through her soft and loving eyes.

Love you always and forever Nan

Do not stand by my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep,

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints upon the snow,

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain,

I am the soft star that shines so bright

On your home late at night.

Joy

Joy Report 2 Mar 2008 00:08

They are not dead,
Who leave us this great heritage of remembering joy.

They still live in our hearts,
In the happiness we knew, in the dreams we shared.

They still breathe,
In the lingering fragrance, windblown, from their favourite flowers.

They still smile in the moonlight’s silver
And laugh in the sunlight’s sparking gold.

They still speak in the echoes of words we’ve heard them say again and again.

They still move, In the rhythm of waving grasses, in the dance of the tossing branches.

They are not dead:
Their memory is warm in our hearts, comfort in our sorrow.

They are not apart from us, but part of us.

For love is eternal,
And those we love shall be with us throughout all eternity.

Happy Mothering Sunday, Mum.

A Mother is she who can take the place of all others,
but who's place no one else can take.

☺Carol in Dulwich☺ Report 1 Mar 2008 20:34

A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.

To my loving Mum, Connie Booth, this the 7th Mother's day without you.

I'll shed a tear and give a sigh,
When I bring the flowers to where you lie.
I'll place them down with all my love,
Still in disbelief you're up above.
A kiss I cannot give you,
A card I cannot send,
All I have is a broken heart,
Which I know will never mend.

Loving you always, forgetting you never.

Lots of Love
