Deaths (and births and marriages) are only recorded in the register according to the quarter they happened. |

I assume that you mean in the GRO deaths index? Death dates aren't listed in the index, only the quarter/year is given. You have to buy the cert to get the actual date. From 1969 onwards, the birth date is listed however - is this what you mean? If this is missing then it simply means that the informant didn't know the actual birthdate. |
