Yes, it is. It's best to rely on the exracted records rather than the submitted ones. Extracted ones are from parish records. Submitted ones are often wishful thinking.

The FamilySearch website has the IGI records on it, a bit like Ancestry has the Census records on it.
The FamilySearch website also has the 1881 census records, and other records some of which are submitted by it's members, and therefore may need further checking.

Yes - familysearch.org has the International Genealogical Index (IGI). Submitted records are worth noting if there is an address by which to contact the submitter. I did this once and the person replied quickly with wonderful verified information.

THANKYOU all. Was putting the dinner on, so had to log off. But theres me thinking its two different sites and thinking 'I must try this family search site'. Doh....
