	Workhouses are listed on census's but some only give intials of inmates and not the full name, and yes they are on ancestry Roy

Member Since: August 2005 Posts: 105 Send Message	To search for a particular workhouse go to any census page i.e. 1901 click and if you know the name of the person you are looking for enter their detail as known and there is a box with "Keywords right at the bottom, type in workhouse in .......... whatever town or county and it should come up. I have just experimented and put in the 1901 census Croydon workhouse and everyones name has come up.Usually in alphabetical order.
