It is very possible that a Lloyd married a Lloyd,as my friend was one who never changed her name.
Remember that Llanfrothen is only a little village, and though they didn't move around much, and tended to inter-marry,I would look up,say Porthmadog,Penrhyndeudreuth,Minfordd,Blaenau Ffestiniog.
I think it is unlikely to be Caernarvon,as this is a bit far.
Llanfrothen is quite near Port Merion where the Prisoner was made, and William Clough Ellis, the designer and owner of Port Merion lived in Llanfrothen.

Don't know if this helps, but I would advise you to look closer than Caernarvon as I know that these village people didn't venture far as a rule.

I have the same problem with my g.g.gran who was called Williams!

I have found a Jane Lloyd on Hugh Wallis site, born in Llanfrothen 1825.

Have you looked on his site?

Hi Gwyn,I've given you the web address, but I just type in Hugh Wallis and it should come up.
What you want is where it says country,go to Wales, and then Merioneth, and then it goes onto the initial letter of the town/village.
It makes it easier to section off the different areas than the ordinary IGI does.
Hope I have explained it OK.
Pm me if you have any difficulty.
