Ive noticed the pming going on to - and I agree - if they just said, Ive pmd you with his date of birth or Ive pmd you with a census image that would settle it but otherwise you sit here thinking "Well, what on earth could they have found that none of us have and which is so sensitive they dont mention it on here"

..and another thing/moan!

Why/how do people work their tree forwards?(I work backwards.....you?)

They must pick a name and place at random ...then try to find living rellies/cousins!???

The mind boggles!!!!

I aint interested in the living....I want to find out all I can about those that were before me!...my Roots/Genes.

Moan over......for now ;-)

Hi Heather

I started out with my GGrandparents (I knew about my family after that) and worked back with census and BDM with certificates to confirm. In tandem I worked forward with their 11 children and recently put the last marriage in place. I worked forward to make contact with living relatives and have made contact through GR or the Internet with 7 of those families! I now have the most wonderful photo of those GGrandparents and have met with some of these relatives. It helps to confirm, or not what you are finding and is incredible way of moving the tree, back and forward. I also now know just how many of this family went all over the world, many to Canada. Still have gaps - in this country, England, funnily enough.
