I live in Hertfordshire and you can use the computers in the Libraries free for one hour and then a small charge for each additional hour.I have done all my access to Ancestry using these.Maybe your libraries do the same.

It should be 'battlefields' (extra 's') and, as you say, new subs only, not renewals.

I clicked on the the Ancestry link on FreeBMD http://www*freebmd*org*uk/ on that page there is a link for a 14 day free trial. The site recognised me as already subscribed, so I then clicked 'Annual UK Membership' and 'Sign up now' price shown as the usual £79.95. As I am not due for renewal yet I clicked the back button then a pop up window opened with an offer of 20% discount, that is £15.99.

Maybe some of you can benefit from this. Anne

Just to let you all know, I phoned Ancestry and got the deluxe version for £164.50 for the year. On the website its advertised at £199, so think I got a bargain.
Good luck to you all, whichever way you try for your subs.
