Well done Glitter Baby, I found that one when i was looking for a mistranscription but discounted it because he is not a Cabinet Maker and it was not mistranscribed, but now with the full story it apears to be correct |

Ozzie, do you think that John Arnold and Lizzie weren't married, they went their separate ways and John Bay later came on the scene and raised young John as his own. i.e. biological mother adoptive father |

Glitter, I did find that one and think they are more than likely the correct ones who raised J Arnold 1900, however, I'm still searching for the Arnold's he was born to. I thought it too much of a coincidence that biological and adoptive parents have the same name but the birth cert. confirms one set and the son is adamant about the others. |

Sorry folks, perhaps I should have said the full story but it didn't seem too important at the time but............... Today I was contacted by someone in the hope we had a mutual relly. The relly in question is John Arnold 1876. I have research him for months and given up because I couldn't find anything. Today I was told that John Arnold married Lizzie Bowley, they had a son John born 16th Sept. 1900 who was born in a workhouse in Bethnal Green and a family named Bay brought him up as their own. |

I was looking at that one Selena. I wondered if Lizzie was married before but had no luck following it up. |

This is a real long shot but wondering if the registrar wrote down the wrong surname. I have a marriage certificate with a witness name crossed through because the registrar wrote completey the wrong first name. |

Don't think so P.P. she gave birth in 1900!!! |

Surely that can't be them - married in 1867 and son John born 1900!!! It would also mean DOB had to be 1846 or before making Lizzie at least 54yrs. when she gave birth!!!!! |

I know the timing seems way out, & James not John, but lots of coincidences. |
