Robin, On the 1841 there is only one match for a Benjamin Quibell of that age. He is living in Spalding Lincolnshire with his wife Mary Quibell born c1791. On the 1851 census there is also only one match. Benjamin is living in Hackney! With his daughter Ann Fank c1823 son-in-law Robert Fank c1819 and grand-daughters Mary Ann Fank c1843 Fanny Fank c1845 and Harriet c1850. Robert is the head of the household If you want any more info just ask! Take Care Danielle-Marie

Hi Marion, Afraid I couldn't find a marriage record that matched the ages of John and Frances as the only one I found was in 1841 and was between a John Jones and a Francis Phillips. Sorry So I looked for census records trying to see if they were listed as husband and wife on them. No luck I couldn't find them on the 1871 and then in 1881 John is deceased and Frances and the 3 children are inmates in the 'York Union Workshouse' Huntington Road. Sorry Danielle-Marie

Hi Lulli, It is very difficult Mary Ann Summer doesn't seem to appear on the 1851 or 1861. Not with a father called Charles anyway. There is one on the 1851 with a mother called Mary A and a father called Ziba. Keep Trying though and best of luck Take care Danielle-Marie

Hi Jet:):), Sorry must have been my eyes before. Have found a George Tustin born c1825 on the census records. In 1871 he is still living in Hampton, Warwickhsire. But this time with wife Maria and children: Ann Maria c1858 Joseph c1861 Lucy c1863 George c1865 Elizabeth c1867 Henry c1869 Frederick c1870 He is again an agricultutal labourer In 1881 he is living in Hampton still. With wife Maria neice Sarah Tustin c1853 daughter Annie Maria c1856 son William c1856 son Joseph c1861 son Frederick c1871 daughter Jane c1873 He is still an agricultural labourer In 1891 he is still living in Hampton as an agricultural labourer. With Son William c1855 and Daughter Jane c1973. In 1901 he is still in Hampton and still an agricultral labourer. He is living with his daughter Jane c1873 her husband John Robbins c1869 and his grand-daughter Kathleen Robbins c1896 I also found a death record for a George Tustin c1826 died 1906 in the april-may-june qtr in the district of Kings Norton. Found a death record for Maria (his wife) too the jan-feb-march qtr of 1890 aged 59 in the registration district of Meriden, Warwickshire. Also looked for a marriage record for you (just in case). Hi Danielle, Thank you for your offer.I am stuck with a new line of enquiry into my tree and any help whatsoever would be appreciated. I think I may not be seeing the wood for trees!! I am looking for ALFRED BAXENDINE born c1863 in Southwark or any of his relations. He married a LAVINIA (maiden name unknown) in 1893. He was a self employed flower dealer. On the 1901 census he was resident at 43 Staple St, London. If you look at that census you will see other Baxendines living next door. Im presuming they are relations but I dont know how! I cant find anything else. There are other Baxendines in the area but I cant work out what the relation is etc etc as I cant find ALFRED anywhere else!! Id be really grateful if you could have a look/suggest where I might be going wrong.......... Look forward to hearing from you Best James

Thanks Danielle-Marie. They are both the right Benjamin Quibells. The 1851 census threw up another granddaughter I didn't know about - Fanny. I'm descended from her sister Harriet. Their surname is actually Faux - I would never have thought of looking for Fank! Robin

Thanks for the offer! Can you have a look at the 1891 census for me? I'm after the husband and children of Rosalie she married either Richard Allen or Elijah Catton in Kings Lynn in late 1881. She was born in 1861 in Heacham, Norfolk. Thanks! Louise

Danielle-Marie Report 8 Aug 2007 16:42

Hi Lisa, I'm afraid I couldn't find either a Rosalie Allen or a Rosalie Catton in the 1891 censu but I did find a Rosalie Catton n the 1901 census. She is living with her husband Elijah Catton c1857 and children: Georgeina M c1884 (strange spelling?) Mabel L c1885 Elijah L c1887 Sydney H c1889. On further looking though my puttting in son Elijah's name I came up with the following from the 1891 census. Elijah Catton c1887 living with mother Rocelie c1862 and father Elizabeth c1857 (this is obviously a mistake and could easuly be Elijah) Alos in household is: Georgeina, Mabel and Sydney (dates of births as above). Looking at the actual image the Head of household is clearly Elijah Catton not Elizabeth (Elizabeth isn't even on there someone was definately having a bad day when they transcribed that) Hope this helps Danielle-Marie x
