I expect loads of people have a copy of the NBI, but if you haven't and need a look-up, I'd be more than happy to help you. You can check the coverage here: http://www(.)ffhs(.)org(.)uk/General/Projects/NBIcounties(.)htm Please email me direct with requests grajay[at]ntlworld.com substituting the [at] of course. Graham

Graham, tried to access the site but no results found. Don't know what I did wrong? Can you look up William Ingram born 1860/1 Donhead St. Mary Wilts I know he was alive in 1904 as he had a son then, but he was dead by 01/10/1921 when his daughter married. His wife was called Gladys Daisy Cheers Shelli

Graham Report 26 Jun 2003 10:21

Shelli There's no match for the name in Wiltshire - would that be the correct county to search for a burial? Graham PS Don't forget that the NBI's coverage is not 100% even for the counties that took part

Graham, Could you try Sutton/Cheam areas please? That is where they where in 1899 and again in 1903/4 although I think they were in Wilts in 1901!! The reason i would like his death details is because I can't find his birth. I know he was 30 in 1901. But there's two William Ingrams born in same place one in 1860 and one in 1861 want to get right one. Thanks VERY much for trying Shelli

Graham Report 26 Jun 2003 11:00

Shelli4 Report 26 Jun 2003 11:03

Thanks for looking anyway. Will have to try and find his marriage cert, may be that will pin it down. Thanks again Shelli

Strange isn't it how the IGI lets you down when you most need it. You obviously know about Priscilla INGRAM born 2 Oct 1837 at Donhead Saint Mary with Parents George & Elizabeth? Graham

Graham Thanks for the offer for Look-ups on the NBI. We have already started adding these Look-ups onto the Guest Book so that they are all together - and asking members to reply/request details firstly, via GC then personal email. That way the board will not be bogged down with replies. Could you add your offer to the Guest Book, too, please? Thanks again Vera, Manchester LAN

Hi Graham Any chance you could do a look up for me please. His name was Frank Butterworth and he was living in Elsecar in Yorkshire on the 1881 census. However,I am told he died when his son was young and the 1901 census states his wife Sarah was a widow living with her son in Cardiff. If you get time, I really would appreciate anything you can find! Best wishes Helen

Do you have to have full names. I am looking in Bucks for BLINCO (alternative spellings BLINKO, BLINCOE or BLINCOW) for pre 1850. According to the LDS site they typically got married/christened in 39 Beaconsfield; 63 Datchet; 74 Eton; 75 Farnham Royal; 81 Fulmer; 99 Hedgerley; 111 Iver; 116 Langley Marish; 150 Pitstone; 171 Upton cum Chalvey; 193 Wexham. There is another crowd up in North Bucks around Gawcott, but I've not found any connection as yet.

Helen We dealt withthis by email. Sharron Sorry but Cumberland isn't featured on the NBI at all. Paul re Thomas HAWKER - what county did he die in please? I can't help with the wife as each entry in the NBI is entirely separate. Janet Sorry, no trace of your George WING. Vicky Sorry not trace of John BONA anywhere on the NBI. For anyone else wanting a search please email me direct [grajayatntlworld(dot)com] as I don't revisit this thread that often. Please note that the NBI is classified into counties - and not all are represented - so please check using the link I gave at the top of the thread. Also note that relationships are not given, so I can't help out with other family names. Graham
