Hi, I've also not had any luck with the Ancestry.com website in the past. Found the most helpful bit was the Civil Registration but didn't manage to find anyone I knew on the Census, also find it a bit difficult to follow. Have had more luck using their message boards. My family all originate from Wiltshire and I have now found most of them from 1891 Census just through posting messages on the Wiltshire Message Board and very kind people doing lookups for me.
