British Census 1881/1891 - Can you help??

Hello Siobhan, i have looked up Grosvenor ashford Clarke, there is one World tree for this name but the spouse is a Christina Kip on the 1891 census there is a Grosvenor Clarke age 26 years a collector living with his widowed mother Emma E Clarke born Leeds. If you think this might be of help let me know and i will send you the other details Eileen |

well the trouble is they were both members of the theatrical society, so she could of changed her name. But on my grandfathers birth certificate she is Irene Clarke formerly Littlejohns. The reference you found is that for a Grosvenor "ASHFORD" Clarke. I have an address in london which they gave on birth certificate when my grandfather was born, he was born in Birmingham though which is strange. If she did change her name to Irene Littlejohns, I don't know how I will ever find out the ancestors on my grandfather side. I need the later Census released for around 1924 when he was born, so I can search up the address, got years to wait for that though. :( |
