Hello Everyone; Now that the initial rush for VRI lookups has slowed I will do sibling searches. The VRI allows searches for siblings under a parent search. If you had a successful lookup done and know the names of the parents this is a great way to complete the family. I will still do regular lookups too of course. Please give me the County as well as the town if you know it. Saves me a lot of time looking it up. I am a transplanted Brit and my memory of towns is not that great.The records run from 1500's to 1906.

Teresa, Can you do a search for FRANK SCHOFIELD. c1862/3 Gringley on the hill Nottingham. I cannot find birth registration info and would love to find name of his parents. Thank you Shirl

Hi Max The VRI has records for all of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales with different amounts of coverage for each county. For instance there are 285,000 birth records for Cheshire but only 611 birth records for Leicestershire. Time spans from 1530 to 1906

Hi Shirley. No luck I'm afraid. I check for births and also ran a check for any marriages for Schofield around 1862 in Nottingham. Sorry.

OK Teresa - here goes! Emma SPEAR born c1836 Crediton and her sister Mary Jane SPEAR born 1843 also Crediton. Possibly listed at Nymet Rowland, Crediton as this was where Emma married John SELDON 26 August 1861. If you can find anything relating to either Emma or Mary Jane I would be very grateful. If it wasn't for the photos I have, I'd think they were a figment of my imagination! Thanks in anticipation!!! Sue
