I have found all very helpful except Doncaster. I asked then for a marriage cert. Gave date etc, even the town, unfortunately did not know the church. They came back with can't find it. They really could not be bothered. Bet they never looked!!! Sent through GRO and it was fine, all the details I had given were correct.

Another Cemetery - Manchester Southern Very helpful. I phoned them on the off-chance they might have some info on a relative of mine. Although I needed a date of death, the gentleman looked up the records there and then; provided the grave number and location if I needed to visit.

Hi all I have had lots of dealings with Bristol and they would definatly get 5 stars. The best one was I posted my cheques for a couple of birth certs on Weds last post and to my surprise they arrived on Friday morning!! I also tried to find my nannas birth cert we had the date she always used sent of my money to GRO and got a letter back saying she couldnt be found and maybe try the records indexing. I contacted GRO via telephone and was assured they look either side of the years and months and couldn't be found and to try Bristol. So I had lost money as it couldnt be found. I phoned Bristol and she just said hang on one minute came back on the phone and said she had been found in 1918 not 1919! I also asked if they could find my nannas parents marriage cert they emailed me back later that day to say they had found it That is great service !! Happy hunting Jan x PS Somerset are also good !!
