Ah, nothing like English place names for entertainment. Did you know there used to be a Gropec**t Lane too? It meant exactly the same thing then as it does now, so I presume the Taste and Decency Crew had it changed! |

There is a Wyre Piddle near Evesham. Some years ago Worcestershire CC wanted to change the name but the residents wouldn't have it. Good for them Bob |

my favourite place name is Spital in the Street (Lincolnshire) Wardrobe is also a surname, 700 in IGI (Exact Spelling on), mostly lowland Scottish, with Yorkshire and London branches, including a line in St Andrew by the Wardrobe parish -- coincidence? |
