i'VE looked William James up for 1851 and it just says no matches in cornwall, so either its not complete or he wasn't there .there are eight william James for 1891 census in Crnwall do you want those? or have you got them already?Do'nt know what you're getting on screen without seeing it so don't know what to advise further re your website TROUBLE! freecens server is busy at the moment try http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb(.)com/~kayhin/1827a.html this will be another route but DON'tt fill in ancestrys blue box as this is an advert, click on red search database in left hand corner and then fill boces in.

tHAT BLUE BOX IS THE ONE YOU SHOULDN'T USE. wWhen I've picked kids up will look for you. Don't fill iin the blue box just look along the type at the bottom FOR SEARCH DATABASE should take you to another page speek later.. bye KIM

Hi Kim Notheres no adverts or anything.its just a page with a globe at the top left hand corner and a blue box to put your names in, when i do put the names in it goes straight to ancestry.trying to find william james on the 1841 cornwall census born about 1835 in either st just or st bureyan, think thats how you spell it Christine

Christine and Kim I've just tried, and all I'm getting is a blank page, so I suspect there's something wrong with the website!

Christine Does it come up with |uk online census in blue? is there a load of Ancestry adverts and rootsweb signs on the left? on the bottom in big red writing is "search the database" click there and you get freecen page with loads of boxes,but don't fill in the one at the top..... Hope you can do it otherwise who did you want to look up ? Perhaps i can do it?,You don't need www in the beginnig as thats a different site. KIM

Kim ..........this is driving me mad! theres no red box on my screen..at the top it just says ancestry search now......and theres two boxes to put the names in, and thats all nothing else on the screen and it wont let me scroll down.....think i need a stiff drink Christine

cHRITINE Don't give up, it looks like the ancestry site on first instance, but don't fill in the search box at the top or it will automatically go to ancestry and try and make you pay, look at the bottom left of your screen and you will see a red search sign next to some others they are quite big , click on that BEFORE you fill anything else in, not the blue or brown boxat the top.... it will work honest . Forgot to add don't fill in boxes at top these will take you directly to ancestry click on the red box at the bottom which says search before you fill anything in. .KIM

Hi Kim tried that but cant scroll down as theres nothing there to let me........its not an advert that comes up its the actual ancestry site were you have to put your ancestors name in then it goes onto the 14 day free trial........driving me mad Christine

The ancestry bit at the top that comesup is just an advert , they sponsor the site , if you scroll down a bit you will get freecen, otherwise just type freecen in on google and it will come up with the website you want.............KIM
