Can I assume that GenesConnected will contact me when my annual subcription is due for renewal. Feel sure its about a year since I joined.

Florence, you created your tree on 13 January 2003. I don't think GC will notify you regarding renewal. I think you will only find out when you attempt to email somebody through the site and can't! I think you may then be prompted to renew your membership. Dierdre X

Hi Amanda... Only another member can check when you started your tree! Just click on the member's name. Your tree was started on 9th April 2003. If you click on MY name you will see when I began..but I can't see my own! As far as I know I created my tree in Nov or Dec 2003. So I know I am due to renew! However I am still able to email other members and no-one has yet asked me to renew my membership! ssssshhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Dierdre X

I know it was a few months after I put my initial tree on before I subscribed, maybe others did the same, see if it was worth paying for before subbing???

GC informed me that my membership was due for renewal. Kathy

Nicki, thanks for looking for the date. I've just realised the date that shows up, is the date we first put our trees onto gc, not the date we subscribed. I subscribed June 2003, checked on my credit card statement. Panic over!!!

Hi Dierdre, very many thanks for your reply. Have recently sent a couple of e mails to possible connections but have had no feed back, perhaps thats the answer! Have looked at G C terms and F A Q but cannot find any information regarding renewal. Perhaps, G C should address this situation sometime soon!! If any one has tried to contact me and has not received a reply, apologies. Reading the board it seems other members are confused about renewing membership, so hope my posting has helped. Hi My membership has just come up for renewal and GC sent me an e-mail with a link to a page set up for payment etc. Ann

G C must have changed the procedure for renewal since I renewed in December (I think it was). I only found out my membership had expired when I tried to e-mail another member and got the message telling me I had to be a full member to use this service. Sue
