I would like to say thank you to everyone on this site. It has been amazing the amount of help and advice people give and it's really appreciated. I would like to thank in particular Sharon Reeve and Susie Manterfield for all their kind lookups and images. Sounds a bit like an Oscar speach! I had no information on my family to begin with only a couple of names and after just under 2 months I now have 240 names in my tree. None of which would have been possible without everyones help. Thanks again Jen x

I would just like to say thank you to all those people who have helped me over the pst few weeks. I am a newbie and it took a while to get myself organised so I am fairly sure I have asked the same questions several times. I have been amazed at the information everyone has been able to provide and this hobby has gone from me being curious about my fairly recent family history to being almost an addict. I can't wait to get my next fix of information. TO EVERYONE A HUGE THANK YOU. Jenny

I suppose there is a danger in a thread like this that people who have helped a lot will be missed out in error and feel slighted. I want to thank anyone who has helped me in any way on the boards, whether by finding info or by giving moral support. I have to mention a few and hope the rest know who they are. She Wray, Colin from Hampshire, Judy from the states, Crista, Lynda Pace, Eileen C from Portsmouth (who helped so much with record office look ups), Max (for her help to everybody), Jim from Gosport, hevi, heather from Somerset, and Ray for starting poets' Pot with his wonderful poems. And evryone of you for being such a fun and friendly lot. Ann Glos

Word of warning to all you lovely people - beware intermittent fault as the time comes for your membership to expire - this is the second post I can hopefully make this morning - but in between times was barred from making any posts - the genes system seems to be completely confused - my membership runs until 8 April, and yet most of the time the system is treating me like a non-member - hoping that GC will sort it out for me a.s.a.p. - waiting to hear.......!! Thanks also to KEITH IN CAIRNS who took pity on me last night and let me know that I was not completely cut off!!

Although this has my name it is coming from my husband Gordon, who for 66 years had only had his birth certificate with his mothers name on. This was his total family. He was in a foster home all his childhood. I did spend hours and months trying every way I could think of to try for information on ancestors but to no avail. Then I put an appeal for advice on the tips page and sucess he now has a living family. So he says a gigantic THANK YOU to She Wray who advised we made contact with Margaret Drummond (margaret then found his family). So She that one small piece of advice you gave has given unbelievable joy to someone. Thank you so much Gordon via Pat
