Looking for TAYLOR, JOY ELIZABETH TAYLOR b. c1816 Devon. Have Elizabeth 1871 living with sons Frank Joy and John R Taylor, at Devon and 1881 with John R Taylor at Woolwich, but not before this. Elizabeth died Lewisham Workhouse 1891. RICHARD TAYLOR b Chelsea Middx, mother Elizabeth, father John Taylor. Have Richard Taylor & family 1881,1891,1901, living Bermondsey, but not before. FRANK JOY b 1850 Godstone Surrey. Have Frank Joy living with his mother Elizabeth and step brother John R Taylor 1871 in Devon. JOHN ROBERT TAYLOR b. Woolwich Dockyard Kent The families have lived in the Greenwich, Woolwich, Bermondsey, Lewisham, Deptford areas most of the time. Would like to find them in 1841, 1851,1861. Would like to know also of the cemetaries in the Lewisham area where Elizabeth may have been buried in 1891.

Looking for de Grussa from 1850s. I am still unable to find Ambrogise de Grussa's marriage certificate around 1850s. His wife, Catherine's death certificate before 1881. Could not find them in 1871 census. Regards, Steven from Melbourne, Australia.

Looking for James (born Dennis) McCARTHY and wife Elizabeth and children who were at 5 Wellington Place 1861-1866 and possibly later, but who reappeared in Poplar in 1871 as CARTER. Their 3rd child Richard McCarthy born Clerkenwell 1852 was at the School for the Indigent Blind, Southwark in the 1860s/70s. nell

Zena, I have Taylors in Bermondsey - Thomas S Taylor and his wife who is from Tiverton in Devon. Thomas was a commercial traveller. Last census has him in 'biscuits'! I wonder if there is a connection. I have just sent off for the daughters birth cert. - Maria who married my GGF James Hanson.
