Thank you Heather - I'm not very good at detective work but there's always someone who will give you an idea of what to do next - isn't it nice of them? luv Lorr x x x

Hi Lorraine, I was a bit puzzled by the 1881 census, if I've found the correct Catherine with her son, because it says she was born in Southampton and the son was born in Scotland, I'm wondering if it should be the other way round. Or did they travel between the two places? Do the other census records confirm the place of birth? Heather

Hi Heather I've only got the information that the kind souls like yourself have been able to get for me - so I'm nor entirely sure either? I'm learning from more experienced people that you can't always believe what you're seeing? luv Lorr x x x

I think sometimes they didn't know where they were born or they forgot. It gets confusing doesn't it? What are you looking for now? Let us know if you need help. Love Heather

Well I must admit I was thinking of resting that side for a moment and looking at my Dads side? I've only got my Grandad and Granny's name so far there. I've got a few cousins asking their parent's for information - luckily I think they originated in this country so I might get a few leads there? luv Lorr x x x
