I've just had a look, and you need a User name as well as a password. Any ideas?

Thanks Diane - I haven't found anything that helps me yet, but some of the stuff on here is brilliant! I'm trawling through Times clippings just now and they certainly give a fascinating insight into past reporting.

This is great because it has accesss to the Times newspaper Archives that everyone wanted to view a few months ago. Thankyou! Kim

I tried to access, but every on clicking on to anything (displayed on the menu) when inserting username etc, just took me back to first page! How can I get into the info etc, the Times for example? what am I doing wrong??

After you enter password/username etc, click on the biography , genealogy heading in blue on your left , scroll down to the Times Archive paragraph and click on database, you should then get up a search page to enter whatever you want to look up. Kim

hiya on some p.c.s you have to de enable your firewall to access, i did and as soon as i,d accessed the site i enabled my fire wall and it let me carry on but you take a risk if your not careful marcie

Must be really slow as only just realise you can access all thouse padlocked bits of Ancestry that you can't usually , just found some American rellies on the 1870 census ! Bingo ! Kim

Hi, This looks a great site but it won't let me access any info once I'm in. I enter password/username and get to the homepage but when I try to open up the Times or Ancestry it tells me I'm not a recognized user !!! Any ideas?? Clare.xxx

Have you clicked on "database" at the bottom of the paragraph about times /ancestry? Kim
