ON 1837 but not in GRO???? help!!! I DID PUT DEATH

Gloria - I always assumed you ordered it from the GRO as a death certificate;but you must have just searched through the births on 1837 online and thought you had clicked deaths on the search. I think sometimes it resets everything and you may not notice it has gone back to births as a default. Kate.

Gloria Kate meant when you searched for the death of Thomas Davies instead of putting death in the drop down search box. you left it at births..... So infact youfound the birth of Thomas Davies and got that ref.... however when you ordered it, you used the ref you'd found( birth) but on that form stated death... so GRO wouldn't find it would they as it is a ref for a birth not a death.. Oh dear hope that all makes sense!!!
