Only just seen this thread, so can I add: There are a FEW Quaker Records on A2A - I only look at Lancashire, so there may be other Counties too. I found a possible rellie being drummed out of the Quakers for being 'incontinent of drink' poor soul! As far as I can remember, the document was Minutes of the Preston Meeting House, but they were quite detailed. The marriage mentioned at the beginning of this thread, as taking place in both Quaker Meeting House and C of E, is very odd. At the time, Quakers and Jews were the ONLY people allowed to marry outside the Established Church. I wonder if it was something to do with a Settlement Order, as these were issued by the C hurch at the time? Doesnt seem very convincing, even to me. Olde Crone

thanks for this. family lore has it that gt granda was a quaker in liverpool.1868-1940.any tips?
