For those who do think the price is a bit steep, and the site certainly hasn't got enough on it to tempt me yet, do bear in mind that you can search the census indexes for free via the national archives website. You obviously won't positively identify everyone without looking at the images, but intelligent use of the search options can often give you a pretty good idea.

Worth its weight in gold!!!! I am now approaching end of 2nd full subscription year - and WILL be joining again. (ancestry.com also good if you are looking for USA rellies) Lis

I'm half way through my third year subscription. I wouldnt be without it. I am always checking something. Think how much that would cost on the Gov 1901 site, or fares or fuel costs and parking to visit a library etc where it is on fiche (unindexed as well in most cases). Margaret

I have found it good value and use it most days, often many times in the one day. Sometimes I have had an enquiry from someone through GR about a name in my tree and with a few minutes work been able to send them details of their family from 1861 to 1901. Martin
