thats a daft thing to say - its obviously NOT the right elizabeth's death then, is it? When was the last child of Elizabeth born ?- gives some clues at to when she died, Eh?

Am now very confused,elizabeth died in 1901 but thomas went on to have 4 children with her....lol

Re: your original query - the record offices don't have certificates, just parish records. However, after 1837 the parish marriage register and marriage certs both have the same details. If you know when the marriage took place (usually the year is required) and where (which parish and/or church) then yes, most record offices will do you one free look-up if you ring, write or email them.

She did have jane as a middle name. Thank you for all you help. It beats me why they couldnt have started a family tree back then,then it would have been simple...lol

Beecham, Elizabeth J abt 1872 Brampton, Huntingdonshire, England Daughter Brampton Huntingdonshire Thomas in 1881 Tom Reedman abt 1872 Brampton, Huntingdon, England Son High St, Brampton, Huntingdonshire, England I checked familyrelatives and couldn't see her death before 1920. Unless J is Jane? Reedman Jane 39 Huntingdon.3b 263 Death 4 1911 Ahah! Marriage Dec 1915 Reedman Tom Allen Edith Huntingdon 3b 907 What was the question? lol

Nothing on Free BMD for the marriage of Edith Allen or the death of the first wife. Might need to be using 1837 or similar
