Further improvement plans: Do you wish this person to be able to view your tree? Tick - YES Tick - NO. Does everyone understand that or is it too simple? There will also be a mandatory 'way in' for Newbies, who will have to read, and answer questions on, Getting Started. No one minds helping newbies, but there isnt much point in having a Getting Started Board if no one reads it. Jess - I have you in mind as Acting General Manager for the look-ups board. The other positions on offer are Moderators for each board and only people who are very very nice to me will even be considered. Send your application on a £20 note. Olde Crone |

The only time a ready made template (usually I despise the things) might come in handy is to ensure that users seeking lookups give all the correct details at the first posting! EXAMPLE: Ancestor's surname Ancestor's first name Ancestor's birthplace and county Ancestors birth year (a reasonable estimate will suffice) What do you want to know? Where have you already looked? Where did you get your ancestor's details from? Ahhhaaa! THEY NEVER EXPECTED THE SPANISH INQUISITION!!!! ;-) Cheers, Horatia |
