hi everyone i recieved in the post a marriage cert i had been waiting for so i could find out what the name is of the grooms father the grooms name is isaac boas born 1878 in germany but he is in wales monmouth newport when he marrys annie willams in 1899 who is welsh and born in 1881 monmouth newport they are both in wales still on the 1901 cenus.well what i cant find is isaac boas father which i know the name of now from marriage cert according to that his father was living in newport his father is israel boas i have had a look for him on ancestry cant find him also on familysearch.org nothing am at a lost on where to look i dont know where his father is born or date of birth any help very much appreciated on this difficult one kind regards kerry suden

the only Boas in wales is the groom on the 1901 wales. there are Boas in England , but no Israel

hi merry well it says residence at the time of marriage and his adress is 124 shaftesbury street newport that is what made me think he lived there thanks kerry

Kerry on the 1901 census Isaac's mother must have remarried because his sister is with the family and the wifes name is Elizabeth Williams, so Israel could have died? Bother....cabinet maker....there's a glazier on 1891 (Israel Boaz) but he hasn't got the right son anyway.........:o(( I think you will find that isaac hadn't been over here long and came without his family :o(( I have no idea what you should do next.......! Merry

Georgina - isnt Annie Boas Issacs wife?, he is the Williams son-in -law she was Annie nee williams , wasnt she? Kerry , who were the witnesses at the wedding? any clues to be had there?

Hi Kerry, Have found these two deaths for Israel Boas, the 1st was 1850, bethnal green , greater london the 2nd Israel Boas, born about 1854, died 1893 aged 39 , whitechapel , london, are they any help helen
