well I suppose they will arrive soon, I am so impatient I am having to try and not think about it but its not easy, as two could solve a huge family mystery .

Julie

Julie Report 19 Feb 2006 22:59

I ordered some certs last week and they are not going to leave England until the 28th so add on about 3 weeks to get to me in Australia. So over a 5 week wait if I am lucky. Glad I am not totaly impatient ............. Have I checked the mail box today? Julie In Oz

to be honest whenever I have tried to get them from local offices the staff are very unhelpful to the point of rudeness, so I order online no miserable voices then. What do you think you may call yourself ???

You have no choice but to wait. Be patient. remember when a cert arrives it generally raises as many questions as it solves! Just wish I had the funds to get the 12 or so I want. I'm happy to wait once they are ordered. nell

There's no doubt things have been a bit slow lately, but remember when delivery times were six weeks (they cost £4.50)? The agony of the wait...... and then to find it's the wrong person.

Laurie

Laurie Report 20 Feb 2006 02:16

Julie, I'm with Susan - only takes a week to arrive in Aust from despatch from GRO - so you shouldn't have to wait as long as you think . . . start checking the letter box cheers Laurie

Julie Report 20 Feb 2006 08:25

To Valerie, Susan and Laurie. Why so long, I live in country WA and it seems they send my cert's to Sydney NSW, they get sorted then sent to Perth WA then they get sorted again (can take up to 3 days if busy) and then they get sent to my town and they get sorted and the postie delivers them the next day. Mum use to sort my mail in Perth and they do get busy. Mum puts my mail straight in the sorted pile in Perth and it takes 3 days to get to me! Very Frustrating Julie in Oz
