This is the only Emm and John I can find living together RG13/3852 Folio 35 Page 8 Bacup, Lancashire Emma Laycock, b. abt 1871, Bacup, Lancashire, England, Wife John Laycock, b abt 1871, Waterfoot, Lancashire, England, Head I have been unable to find a George Henry Laycock, but have found a Harry Laycock (listed as a god child) - my family have a habit of using middle names instead of the names they are christened and well Henry is also known as Harry - just an idea as you said the other child was also not at home on 1901 census. RG13/3873 Folio 28 Page 6 Burnley, Lancashire Harry Laycock abt 1898 Burnley, Lancashire, England God Child Amy Sagar abt 1900 Burnley, Lancashire, England Granddaughter Arthur Sagar abt 1884 Higham, Lancashire, England Son Elizabeth Sagar abt 1851 Colne, Lancashire, England Wife Ernest Sagar abt 1882 Higham, Lancashire, England Son Harry Sagar abt 1886 Higham, Lancashire, England Son James Sagar abt 1847 France, Lancashire, England Head Leonard Sagar abt 1878 Burnley, Lancashire, England Daughter-in-law Theodore Sagar abt 1880 Higham, Lancashire, England Son Dont know if this helps Regards sue

I found this John and Emma on the 1891 living in Lancs: Arnold Laycock abt 1890 Littleborough, Lancashire, England Son Blatchinworth and Calderbrook Lancashire Emma Laycock abt 1852 Radcliffe, Lancashire, England Wife Blatchinworth and Calderbrook Lancashire Harriet H Laycock abt 1877 Littleborough, Lancashire, England Daughter Blatchinworth and Calderbrook Lancashire John Laycock abt 1852 Keighley, Yorkshire, England Head Blatchinworth and Calderbrook Lancashire John H Laycock abt 1881 Littleborough, Lancashire, England Son Blatchinworth and Calderbrook Lancashire Probably just coincidence with the names as the birth year for their son John is a few years off 1888 that you already have.

Hi Merry I haven't gone simply given up on this one until I can find a Blakely Blackley Bleakly or some such spelling married to a John Laycock Unfortunately she signed with a Mark on the birth cert so the actual spelling of her Surname is at the mercy of the registrar . Susan
