Jo, the other names are people who married at the same time as yours did, I can't find Lillie on any census, I did find a matilda but she was a servant so living in another household. unless someone else can find them on a census together you would have to get the marriage certificates which would show you who their father was Linda

Hi Linda, Could you please try and find the family of JANE ELIZABETH ELVY b abt. 1834. Possibly from the Canterbury, Kent area? She married George Thomas Chaney b 1842 Sep qtr. 1867 in Canterbury, Kent. ref: 2a 1075. She would have been at home presumably in 1851 and 1861, unless parents had died? Thankyou Jen

Hi there, Would be wonderful if you could help me. I'm looking for PARENTS of LILY (Elizabeth?) HOGG b 6/4/1860 DONCASTER married to Henry Bennett in Doncaster. I think she had a sister MATILDA HOGG, married to George Jackson b1857, SALFORD. I know these two are my ancestors, but I can't find anything linking them together. Anything you can do for me would be much appreciated. Many thanks, Jo

Hi Kay, if you order the marriage cert it will should hopefully give you Fathers name and occupation. From that you can start looking for their families on the census, last one is 1901 that way you will be able to find which families are yours. does that make sense? Linda x had a look at 1901 census McGuiness in south shields there are 2 head of household one calkled bernard other Thomas, so if Ellen's father on marriage cert is called Thoms you know which family are yours

Ah well !! I am trying to find My Charles Joshua Hoyle on any census, he was born in 1872 (29 when he married in Dec 1901 in Thorparch, Yorkshire) he was a bachelor. I cannot find his birth for sure or him on any census anywhere. His occupation was a publican in 1901 but he was also a silk mill hand in 1903. Father's first name is blank on the marriage cert except 'deceased Hoyle!' If you have time to have a look to see if you can find him, that would be great . Thanks Joan
