Hi there, Would be wonderful if you could help me. I'm looking for PARENTS of LILY (Elizabeth?) HOGG b 6/4/1860 DONCASTER married to Henry Bennett in Doncaster. I think she had a sister MATILDA HOGG, married to George Jackson b1857, SALFORD. I know these two are my ancestors, but I can't find anything linking them together. Anything you can do for me would be much appreciated. Many thanks, Jo |

Hi Linda, Could you please try and find the family of JANE ELIZABETH ELVY b abt. 1834. Possibly from the Canterbury, Kent area? She married George Thomas Chaney b 1842 Sep qtr. 1867 in Canterbury, Kent. ref: 2a 1075. She would have been at home presumably in 1851 and 1861, unless parents had died? Thankyou Jen |

Jo, the other names are people who married at the same time as yours did, I can't find Lillie on any census, I did find a matilda but she was a servant so living in another household. unless someone else can find them on a census together you would have to get the marriage certificates which would show you who their father was Linda |

Linda, Thankyou, that was quick........I will have to send for the marriage cert, I have a sneaking suscpition that her parents were dead, as she was older than her partner at marriage, and could have been on her own for a while?? Jen |
