Hi - This an extremely long shot, Could you find any Skurls anywhere in London. Or anywhere else for that matter. They were not a prolific family I am given to understand. I am assuming that the name alone is not enough but it is a rare one so just might show up. THanks for your efforts. Rita

Rita re Skurls: Ann Skurls abt 1801 St John Hackney Middlesex View Record Joseph Skurls abt 1796 Middlesex, England St John Hackney Middlesex View Record Joseph Skurls abt 1821 Middlesex, England St John Hackney Middlesex I should think the name was ripe for mistranscription.

Christine What county is Lichfield in. Do you know if they were living there in 1841. There are lots of Mary and Jane Brookes on 1841 but I can't find one in Lichfield. 1841 does not give birth place unfortunetly. Avril I am sorry I can't do Scotland.

Hi Anne, Is Berkshire on there yet please? if so would be very greatful if you could look up my gg grandad: George Haines born 1838 at Ashmore Green, Thatcham. Berkshire. His father was called Giles Haines born approx 1794. I don't have mother's name or any other brothers and sisters. I think the family lived in Ashmore Green for generations, but there are a few different lines of Haines. Thank you very much for you kind offer of lookups. Jackie

HI Annie, Sorry I didn't know it doesn't give birth place, any chance you could try the following again please as these people all lived in the parish of Alverstoke, and definately not Buriton? Thanks again. George Pannell born 9/7/1837 in Alverstoke Hampshire. Has sister Isabella Harriet born 20/9/1840 + various brothers. Parents David Pannell and Elizabeth. Also David's parents David (!) and Jane Pannell, also Alverstoke.

Leslie. It ls a bit difficult to read but Thomas Breton looks like a cotton spinner. I could not find a suitable Thomas Bereton. Yes Preston would be where they were living. Census only says born in county. Elaine ages were given to nearest five years for adults.
