Sorry but I am having trouble following this From your intiial query it sounds as if you have found Elizabeth b1817, David b 1859 and Joseph b 1847 together on the 1881 census - and I am not sure who is the widowed wife ??? I can find David (below) but where are the other two - perhaps you could post the details . many thanks for all your replys i found a christning on family search for david gough also found david living with his mother who was widowed and his brother it was 1881 on family search there info given on my thread seems plausable so think i will go with that many thanks angie xx
