I have just read the reply that said someones name was on 1837 after ticking the box so that they would only be on the official register, out of curiosity I have just looked for myself and I'm listed there, have I got it right that if I ticked the box to say I didn't want to be included on the list that can be sold and anybody can see,my name shouldn't appear. which is what I thought I had done .Is this the actual electoral roll on 1837

since my message above I have checked out my mothers name and address as I remembered that I had also made the application for her as well, her name is not included on 1837 ,but what I have remembered is that I made both mine and my mothers application by telephone one call after the other, so it is obviously not safe to assume telephone applications will be alright

Hi I used B4U for the first time yesterday, looking on behalf of someone else, but I know the request for finding this person is genuine, for a birthday party to which my folks are also going. However I didn't realise the information was so easy to access and I'd never noticed the box on the electoral roll form, to be honest I usually check the names and pop it straight back in the envelope! That will teach me won't it? Michelle
