Ordered 3 due to be sent 28 June. Got one on 4 July. Holding my breath - our post arrives at any time nowadays, often late in the afternoon. nell

The good thing is I get up earlier than normal in anticipation. The bad thing is my Postman now knows I dont always look good.

I suggest we all e-mail the GRO and TELL them to sort their postal arrangements out. There's no point in them turning round orders in 4 days if it takes another 10 in the post.

agh Gillian thats terrible at least my postman and even if its a relief dont do that, but then I have a special extra wide and long Certs Post Box.

just put a thread about this on the General board - but no-one seem sinterested if GRO have TNT on a trial then it's worthwhile everyone emailing them to say when their certs were due for despatch and when they actually recieved them so that GRO can see exactly how rubbish TNT are. Zoe

you are right Suzie someone on the general boards has done that and GRO said they had been on to TNT and it was their fault.

Definitely the right one. The lady died at the same address as she is on previous census, in Cambridge. Her daughter - just found her on 1881 census, one of her sons was born Holloway, London. I'm fascinated by this. Dead lady had several daughters, all born Cambridge, one of them is my gt grandmother Emma, who married in Holloway. On one census her sister Eliza was staying with her. Another sister, Elizabeth, married in Cambridge but lived a few streets away from Emma in Holloway. Now I've found Susan had a son in the same area! nell

Valerie How could I forget your Goozees!!! Just had a brill time matching up the census entries for Susan and her husband (though they are awol in 1861/71 and I can't find their marriage yet) together with their children's baptisms on familyhistoryonline. Haven't even looked at the 2nd cert that came today yet! nell
