I was so fed up with the tree a few days ago…..No new leads for what seemed like ever!! I decided to have a go at a brick wall I have had for a while. I had a William Lindo (nice unusual name) who I knew had married an Elizabeth Cock (no titters please) in 1834 in Southwark. From the census I knew he was born in Newington Surrey, but the IGI drew a blank. I looked at the marriage again on the IGI and he was down as William Drake Lindo even more unusual, but still no baptism….. I remembered something Heather had said a while ago about googling…..Well it is such an unusual name I thought I would give it a go. OH MY GOD!!!!! I found someones tree with William Drake Lindo marrying an Elizabeth Cock, with all the children I had…..but they had William Drake Lindo parents a James Lindo and a Sarah Jones. I had a quick look on ancestry and I found one of the children in one census staying with a Jones family……I looked on the IGI and found the record of James Lindo and Sarah Jones marriage married on Christmas day in 1808. Seeing as my William Drake Lindo was born in 1810 there must be siblings….my next job!!! HOORAY No longer feeling fed up.. Will just say to everyone GOOGLE GOOGLE GOOGLE and thanks to Heather (Love you) Fuzzy xx

Sometimes parents seem to have had their children ''done'' (as distinct from ''Baptised'') in job lots! Christine

Swift tip......If you have someone with an unusual name, it's a goodidea to enter it in full on the All Resources page of Family Search and then tick the box for exact match (obviously this won't pick up if the spelling is wrong!!) Merry

There are quite a lot of LINDO records on National Archives. Don't know if this relates to your Thomas: Online Document PROB 11/1984 Will of Thomas Lindo , Carpenter of No 3 Gloucester Place Walworth Common, Surrey Date: 1843. Christine
