Sprack Report 29 Sep 2006 17:27

what area are you looking for and when abouts were they married?

J

J Report 29 Sep 2006 17:31

It could be that the marriage you are looking for has not been added to the website as yet. I have just checked and couldnt find one, otr they could be mistranscribed. You could try on Ancestry where you can look for them quarter by quarter if you know a year then it will be easier if you dont it could take ages to find them Good luck Julie

Hi Steve Presume the below is what you are seeing: Surname First name(s) District Vol Page -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marriages Dec 1891 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bird Amelia Emma St. Olave 1d 558 Crook Emma St. Olave 1d 558 James George Frederick St. Olave 1d 558 Western Albert John St. Olave 1d 558 Where did you get the reference from initially? Do you have any children for them - if you order one of their birth certs it will give you Matilda's maiden name then you can have another look. the other alternative is that there is another Albert Western - try looking on the 1901 for him with one of these other women, that would then rule this reference out. Regards Looby PS - have just had a look, no trace of Albert or Amelia on the 1901 but Emma is living as Emma James, happily married to George Frederick in Hackney.

where did you get that reference number from steve?

Stephen

Stephen Report 29 Sep 2006 17:35

thank you looby but the 1901 census is the right 1 the kids all match the only thing that is strange is this matilda lol steve

Stephen

Stephen Report 29 Sep 2006 17:36

ancestry jenny you dont think that matilda could be a mistake and is should say on the census amelia

Trudy

Trudy Report 29 Sep 2006 17:38

Think you're going to have to order one of the kids certs to find her maiden name then try again. What's the census ref, do you want us to have a look at it to make sure you're reading it right. regards Looby
