i have sent of for lots of certs and i am still stuck i will add to this so you can read easier steve

my grandfather was walter leslie jones born 1919 greenwich his father was walter leonard jones born 1894 camberwell his mother was lilian humphry born abt 1893 his father was walter edward jones born 1870 going by his marrage cert he married in 1893 aged 23 in st saviour london his father on that cert is thomas jones but it says deceaced any help would be most welcomed thank you steve

census please i have had ppl look before i got this new cert. and they said it looked like the father was an edwin from stroud in gloucestershire but the cert shows that to be wrong i have been trying to find this family for a long time now and i am doing what i am told getting certs but im stuck now as his father is dead and i dont know what i should do next

Sorry Stephen - posted a question and then had visitors! What is the occupation of Walter edward jones born 1870 on his marrage cert and what address is on the certificate - might help us to find him in 1891

walter edward job is a potman the address is hard to make out but its is 5 halhin place or halpin place

and both walter edward and his wife mary eliza knight are from the same address on this cert

do the witnesses on the marriage certificate help?

1891 update Image could be age 32 or 22 for Walter and occupation of Barman Address looks like 173 Boro High St (Blue Eyed Maid) So the 1891 looks promising. Got to leave it there as about to logout. Good luck. Maureen
