HI EVERYONE, I have been looking( for ages) for my gg grandparents marriage cert. i have found an entry in 1864 for them; Fanny Rogers july qtr vol6a page 1130 Edward Jones july qtr vol 6a but page 1140 Have i got the right people ,could it be just a slip of the pen ? If i order the cert which page number should i state? thanks for any advice Christine

Thankyou Gail, I Thought i'd broken through my brick wall but maybe not !!! I will have to keep looking and double check again.I am desperate to get the cert to discover their fathers names. to trace them both on 1861 census .Is the name Jones the hardest to research !!!!!

Fanny Rogers number correct. But I think the Edward Jones that June put on - the actual image could say 1140. What do you think June? Different numbers though. Gail.

Thanks Gail and June FOR YOUR HELP. O n my g grandmothers birth cert it states mother Fanny Jones Formerly Rogers. I DON'T know if Francis was often changed to Fanny? I had Alice on 1871 census but born 1867 have only just looked at image and can now see that she was actually only 4 or 7 months. So i might have been looking for the marriage too early. Will just have a another look at 1869 70 71. Have just found an Edwrd on 1861 census with father as thomas jones 1814 shrewsbury but edward is some sort of painter not shoe maker ?

Gail , I've just checked again 1868 69 70 marriages no luck. I'm even checking RoDgers as well now! I HOPE that is the correct Fanny with a mother called Comfort ! she might be a bit easier to trace !!
