hi all ,could anybody tell me if there is a way to look up 1901 census by address and not name.tried looking for name but cant find them,although i have a address,i thought maybe try the other way round.thanks kev

Yes there is... go to UK census collection pick a year scroll down....you see the counties click on appropriate county and you can search individual places

So one of the children is called Long, the other Batten? Have you a DOB for William?

the only place to do an address search is the offical 1901census site. Where was Joseph born ? When / Where was William Born ? What is the relationship between Longs ? Are you expecting them all to be together in 1901 ? Just out of interest - where has the address come from ?

some of the info i found myself,to confirm i trawled through tribal pages,it all seems to link up.just spent ages on ancestry looking for them all ,no luck the address came from the tribal pages tree i asked to see.their alice long and mine both lived at the same address.

Did you know that the 1881 census for alice selena long and her family has the same address as that for where her son William was born !

esta thankyou very much for your help, you have just posted msg with ballin as a lodger you then went on to name william Ballin alice ballin ect did you mean to type ballin or batten for the latter, as for where william is i have no idea,perhaps with relies.
