hi...i havnt had a brick wall in a while...but any help would be appreciated.... I have susannah collins....b 1807 sedgley staffordshire....can find her birth and marriages....1st to william hobbs 2nd to thomas round....the marriage certificates only give father,s name being richard collins....b 1770....now i already have a richard in my tree for same birth yr but he died age 3....i cant seem to find susannah's parents anywhere...findings suggest richard was married to an elizabeth....cannot find any siblings of susannah....i need to find the correct richard so as i can link him to the correct part of the tree...as i cant find his birthdate i cant find his parents.... thanks Heidi xx

I presume that this is where you found Susanna's parents as Richard and Elizabeth. What marriage certificates do you have that show the father? Where do you get the c1770 birth year for him?

hi....thanks ....keith you found more than i did thank you.... these like you said are extracted so still not sure if the same susanna....especially as....the marriage info have come from parish records....both containing the age of father and therefore making it 1770cc....the records spell hjer name susannah....but again the birth yr fo her is 1807...i cant find any othr susannah born there at same time..

thank you keith....i agree it could be mine...probably is....but am so stuggling to find info on her father richard....i need to link him into the tree...as i have so many names by collins it can get confusing any ideas? xx

Heidi, I bet Susanna did not sign on her marriage? I would not be surprised if this is yours, most people could not read and write at that time, so had to rely on others spelling it as they thought.

At the moment, no idea about his birth. I would have expected them to have married, but I cannot see a marriage for them anywhere between 1795 +- 10 years in Staffordshire.

neither can i....the only thing i can think of is to go right thru all my contact and there findings....maybe some1 has him and ive not noticed... the only birth i could find aroiund that time is the one i have which he only lived 3 yrs.. xx

yes keith hun its the one that died aged three....those findings u have there are the ones i have....so as you can see due to richards daughters names they follow family names... xx
