Ancestry does have the COMPLETE indexes, although they are untranscribed, but unfortunately, some pages are missing. You can view them free here:- http://www.ancestry.*co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx Remove star You have to register your e-mail address only.

Here is a possibility. MILLS Annie, age 40, 1941. Dec. qtr. Dartford, 2a, 1528 After searching both Mills and Bacon form Jan. 1939 to Dec. 1944, this is the only one that comes remotely near the information you gave Jennifer

Hi Jennifer Although there is a 2 yr age difference ,if nothing else comes up then i will send for a death cert as it will have her parteners name on it as there daughter would only be 10 , thank you for taking the time to do this , also he was only her partener for 10 yrs perhaps he didnt know her age or she told him a fib LOL best Wishes Carol

Carol The age on a death cert is only what the informant tells the registra.....it's mostly ever estimated. I'd risk the £7 on that one. It looks good! Gerri

Carol Report 31 Mar 2007 20:40

Georgina Report 31 Mar 2007 20:55

I saw that one Carol but as the age was 50 I thought it probably was not her, could she have married someone else apart from William Bacon? Georgina.

Hi Georgina yes she married my g.dad in 1919in yarmouth had 5 children and left him after 10yrsof marriage to live in sin with william Bacon they had a child together called Iris b.1931 yarmouth reg twice under mothers name of mills (g.dad would not have been amused) and bacon so she obviously took up his name although they never married ,william had been married before also, with some help from great people on GR i have Irises birth cert and marriage cert and have tried to trace her but no luck she would be in her 70s but she is not on192.com so presume she is dead, and to searh her death would be a large span of yrs would be 1960s till 2007 i have tried everything i know Iris was married in Willesden and her son was born in Willesden 1959 but cant find him so you see i have not been lazy and have been doing this search for about 35 yrs and have got so close then comes a brick wall Carol
