Michelle There is a really good site for Scottish research called Scotlandsfamilytree, do you know about it? I'll email you details if you like, lots of people from this site are on it and find it very useful and friendly Helena

If just a quarter of those that registered and got the free credits actually carry on and spend, spend, spend (as you do!!) then they'll recoup the cash in no time!

I wonder how much this has cost the paper and SP but it must have generated new interest too Helena

Thanks Kathy. Joseanne, I can vouch for Kathy - she finds folk that others can't!

Woody it was an OPR, and no I couldn't scroll any further up. I've just been on the site again now and tried to look again at my 'viewed image' but I can't get into it, keeps coming up waiting for document but nothing is happening. urrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Actually it would have been an interesting one as I think that a mistake was made and it might have said something about it, as one entry is in the Blotter Reg but you can't view that, and another entry under a different church but details are the same, then this one under a different name, but the limited details I have are all the same, so it would have been great to check it out. Never mind, will just have to buy more credits at sometime, or find other rellies in Scotland that I could look up.

Joseanne, Was this an OPR? Try scrolling up - maybe it's there. If it's a census then one of us will check out ancestry for you. Oh yes, and as if by magic - mine are also gone!!!!

Many Thanks just tried and got my credits so was able to get a couple of dates of birth from the parish records and discount a couple of marriages BUT very annoying as the last one I did was at the top of the page and only the last part was on there, so I'll have to wait till another time when I get more credits to see the first part as that will be on the page before.

Hey Sue When you login/register, go to the top right hand corner where it says Need More? Click on that and the page that appears has the voucher box on it. Helena Well lets see...i have four emails, then there's my mums, brothers, dads, 2 uncles (at least), aunt and maybe a cousin or two :) Someone said you can re-register with your email again but just change the user name? Might try that after but dont want to push my luck... Mhairi

Have added a few certs to my collection though :) I went back and looked at previous searches and got certs from those, mainly sibling births/marriages/deaths but also from OPR that i looked at before they came online. One happy researcher :) Mhairi
